As far as I could remember, I’ve always wanted to do things that made a difference. I have always wanted to use my skills, talent and knowledge to do something worthwhile. This past weekend, I came across such an opportunity- a chance to contribute a little to a greater cause and send a message. With that being said, we are conducting a Eco-friendly, Green, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Wedding Contest, in collaboration of my former client and friend, Thryn Albin
Here’s the 411 from Thryn Albin’s blog:
“The Prize: Complete wedding photography coverage by Virgil Bunao of
CVI Photography & Co. All images at high resolution on
DVD copyright free. Travel, food and lodging within the continental
US. A handmade blank photo album (made by Thryn). Your prize will also
include an engagement session if you are able to travel to Charleston.
The Requirements: You must be planning an eco-friendly, diy, handmade
wedding that will take place between August 2008 and December 2009 (subject to Virgil’s availability).
How to Enter: Submit a short essay (no more than 600 words) about you
and your wedding. Things we want to know are: what you are doing to be
ethical and green for your wedding, what handmade/diy elements are you
including, what will be unique about your wedding, in what ways are
you super-cool and most deserving of this incredible prize? You may
supplement your essay with a brief list of all of the green/diy/
handmade elements, as well as photos to support your essay.
entries to me: [email protected].
includes Virgil, Gabe (my new husband) and I, as well as participating
members of our wedding party.
The Deadline: The deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2008. The
winner will be announced on or about May 11th 2008.”
